To my love,

You came into my life in the most innocent of ways. I recall the moment when you sat down at the table across from me. I’m not sure why, but I couldn’t stop looking at you. You just smiled and told me your name.

Remember how we ate and talked as if we had always been friends, making us almost late for our class?

Who could have imagined all the hours and months we’d spend together? You are a friend, my best friend. You know me better than anyone, sometimes even more than myself. It’s as if you shined your light into every dark corner of my soul, and somehow, still love me.

I remember to this day... the moment you told me you loved me. I had been waiting for that moment for so long with my breath held still. Yet, you surprised me, completely. More because I wasn’t sure I wanted to change who we were. Without realizing it, something started to grow within me. I loved you before I even put it into words.

This past year has been unforgettable, with shared laughter, tears, and quiet moments. Just lying in your arms, feeling your body wrapped around mine. I can no longer imagine what life would be like without you. I know you so well, as if I can hear your thoughts before you express them.

In our quiet spot where we spent so many tender nights. The sky was our only witness. That moment was everything, a moment only for us. That night, I couldn’t hold back the tears when I saw your grandparents’ ring. How I raced to share the news with our family and friends.

I want to thank you for everything you have brought into my life. For being the one person that I would never want to be without. Your continued strength, support, and understanding are all I will ever need.
